Part of the Artstar Prestige Series, the Ibanez AF2000 not only serves up sublime sound but exemplifies the superior craftsmanship of the Japanese maker’s master-builders. This semi-acoustic guitar features a deluxe ebony fretboard with a 12″ radius and 20 smooth frets that have all undergone the Prestige Fret-End treatment. Add that to the trusty feel of the AF Artstar profile of the 2-piece mahogany/maple neck – which was welcomely subjected to the S-Tech roasting process for enhanced stability before being securely glued to the hollow-body of the AF2000 – and the result is the kind of playing feel and unshakeable stability you normally only come across in your dreams.

The AF2000: A Big Jar Full of Sugar-Coated Sounds
The rich, acoustic foundation sound of the AF2000 stems from a spruce top, and comes complemented by the light bite and extra mids shaped by the aesthetically-pleasing anigre body. To get that delicious, vintage-style amplified tone from, say, something like a jazz amplifier, Ibanez have equipped this Artstar Prestige model with two Super 58 pickups which, in combination with the 3-way switch, the two volume pots and the two tone controls, essentially represent a big jar full of sugar-coated sounds. Finally, for a fully satisfying, full-size hollow-body playing experience, you get the reliability of an ebony bridge, the AF Special tailpiece, and a set of premium Gotoh tuners. Hard-shell case included.
