The feeling produced by using valves or tubes is now timeless. That sought after warmth of five preamp tubes and six output tubes is what drives the Ashdown CTM-300 bass amp top. This superb and sensitively built black top has a solid, 18 mm birch multiplex housing, fully ventilated to keep the temperature in order and give you a top that will love you back for decades to come.

Ashdown CTM-300: Possibilities
The CTM-300 has dedicated jack inputs for passive and active basses and with the ‘dual gain stage’, you can push a button to flip between a distorted or clean signal. The effects loop and DI output are also tube-driven and there’s a 3-band equalizer (bass, mid, treble), with buttons for extra variation, giving you extensive options to shape your sound. You can easily and very uniquely bias the output tubes yourself and via the tube indicators on the front panel while the VU meter shows the corresponding voltage. Round the back, you can set the individual tubes with a small flat screwdriver. These ‘screws’ are recessed and therefore retain their position during transport and use.
