Once you’re a little more familiar with what the Fusion can do, you can start to dip into some of the more advanced option it has to offer. Start messing around with the order of the processors and get treated to drastically different results, and since the unit features an insert, your external processor of choice can be hooked up and placed in the signal path. The beauty of this insert is that it can be switched between R-L stereo and M-S stereo.

Hidden Talents
This masterful bus processor also has a few hidden functions. For example, by holding down the ‘In’ button of the HF compressor for five seconds, the De-Esser is transformed into a brutal ‘Listen Mic Compressor’. To get an idea of what this means, just listen again to the opening drums of ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins and you’ll immediately understand why this is a really good thing.
